So I was working on a different watch last night and I used Miyuke 3mm squares - just don't know how much I like it with the watch face. Seem kind of bulky. I'd put up a picture but my camera batteries died!Anyway, need to learn some different Peyote stitch with smaller beads I think. Any suggestions?

Day 3 was the big dig day. We went up into the mountains of Northern California to 2 locations. Lassen Creek and Davis Creek. This is very hard digging. Proper tools are a necessity. Needless to say that I had none - my rock partner has some but we ended up needing help from some of the other diggers who had big prybars, poles and such to get this rock busted loose. Well I have come to the conclusion that if I want an Oregon Sunstone I just may go out and purchase one. Over the weekend of May 16th, Chad and I went to a little spot in the south central part of Oregon (just outside Plush, OR) to mine Sunstone. Phew! not easy work by any means. So I am discovering that this business is much more difficult than previously anticipated. I like to create my jewelry, this is without a doubt.
